Elementary Hour special with The Mekano Set

"Elementary, my dear Neilson..."
As you can see this here site is slowly returning back to life. As are we! Lots of unconfirmed reports. I can say that we will have some new tunes for you soon, so stay tuned. Meanwhile, you can:
"Tune into the elementary hour this Tuesday (29th August) night at 9pm, for an in depth interview with Mekanoid and all round decent geezer Mr Taylor, of The Mekano Set. Top tunes from the Mekheads as well as from the Pistols, Magazine, Kate Bush, Minnie Allen, The Clash and Curve. Miss it at your peril."
For those of you not in the Elementary area (some strange place north of Watford Gap, near Scotland?) you will be able to listen to a live stream here: www.smethwicksound.co.uk/live.php
I had a lot of fun doing this interview, probably because Al is a natural host and he doesn't take it, himself, or me, too seriously. But he is really dead passionate about music, as you'll find out if you listen to his program.
I think I probably left out a lot of details I didn't mean to, we'll have to wait and see. I'll post any useful links after it's been aired.
We are going to be doing something for the Elementary Recordings launch in December, in London Village at the brilliant Horse Hospital (yes... it really is a former Horse Hospital turned arts space). Possibly just me and a guitar, final proof perhaps that yes, I do plug it in...
Check ou the Elementary myspace for what is possibly the best record company manifesto since that thing Mr. Wilson did with a scrap of paper and a pen-knife (if indeed he really did that thing):

Al is an excellent host and if you tune in an hour early the girl (I think it's Titchy B, a legend in her own dancing pants) before him is really excellent too, she plays some really cool Bhangra infused R&B... R&Bhangra? R&Bhang? R&BrumBhangra?
Jazz fans please note: Martin Taylor may well be a highly regarded red-haired jazz guitarist, but he also happens to be a highly resented, occassionally red-haired post-rock guitarist, bassist, singer and programmer. This interview will be with the latter.
See you soon!
