Full Frontal Newsity
Hello and season's greetings to you all.
Where are we? A few good Mekanoids wandered along to see Polysics @ Freebutt friday night. Really nice to hang out with the gang and everyone in high spirits.
Polysics? Garage-rock with a manic Japanese twist. Non-stop high, histrionic energy. I gave their guitarist a PiL badge {when we discovered he was wearing a PiL T-shirt}. Really nice to get away from the computer screens for a change.
Our next public outing will be @ The Pleasure Unit in Bethnal Green, on Wednesday 16th November.
It's a night of all-girl / girl-fronted acts. It is also Saint's 18th birthday. To celebrate his coming of age, we will have copies of the latest batch of CD's to give away. The CD's now contain the Curve / Dog Lab mix of Reel to Real as the fourth track! That's right folks, Dean Garcia has done us a mix of Reel to Real. It is naturally vast, phat, fat and vast again.
If you already knew and we've kept you waiting, we're very sorry. The last thing we want to be is a tease. We just wanted to do it justice. We should also have a fresh batch of suitably offensive T-shirts and badges.
Meanwhile, we are working on a store where you'll be able to order all sorts of ludicrous Mekanoid goodies. We're planning on doing a boozing session - sorry, that should be recording session, next week. New stuff. Oh yes. Although I'm not entirely convinced by Beth's suggestion that we go 'digital hardcore'.
We're also back @ Brixton Telegraph on 8th December! That will probably be our last gig of the year, so make the most of it! I'm sure we will!
